Once I left Darkfall Online 3 months ago, I said: “I will never ever return to this game.”. Yesterday I re-subbed again. xD

• The grind was horrible. - You needed several real lives in order to reach 100 in a mastery.
• Game felt abandoned – The developers of DFO haven’t posted any news for over one month. I thought it’s really gonna die.
• NA+EU is no good – Both live in defferent time zones. While ones is still sleeps, another is playing. Castles were cowardly takes like this over and over again.
• PvE’ing was no good – You couldn’t kill a mob stronger than a Troll. A mount was required in order to kill them.

3 months later …

• Grind is much, much better. - The skills and spells level up so much faster now. Level 100 magic school can now be reached in one week instead of several months.
• Dev to player communications exist. – The news are now done much more frequently. Also there’s “Spotlight” forum section with official community news.
• NA transfers a live - Finally the transfers are available. Finally only one time zone is left. This is imo really good.
• PvE’ing is now possible – As I heard in the forum, the mobs were tweaked so most of them can be actually solo’ed without using a mount.
• Official Events – Darkfall had its first official event few days ago. Good sign, imo.
• Expansion is coming – Next week, a big expansion is coming to DFO, called “Conquer the Seas”. It’s supposed to add some features and fix major issues and unbalances.

Hyperion is alive!

Hyperion, once the mightiest alliance in Darkfall is back to live. And my clan, New Hope is in. I think it will be fun to play under the kings orders. I have no idea yet, what’s his name is.

Let the addiction begin

The download of nearly 10GB has just finished, so it’s time for me to enter the world of Agon once again! Time to pwn some noobs! Wooohoo!
