Downloading #FFXIV on the #Xbox right now. The last time I played it was during ARR, so a lifetime ago. How is it like playing with a controller? On PC it was already quite a challenge to fit all skills on the hotbars. Any tips are welcome. 😃
@jasdemi It's so-so since it requires a combination of button presses to access everything, from your map to your inventory to your character sheet.
The camera is also troublesome as it pivots with each flick of the movement stick. You need to stand still to rotate it and get a good view of your surroundings. You can't turn it off, either.
You can, however, plug a mouse&keyboard into your Xbox and play it the way it's meant to be played. Trust me on this one. 👍
@jasdemi I love playing with a controller. I have tanked and healed endgame content with it exclusively. There is a learning curve but the expansions should give you plenty of time to get familiar.
